David Brooks is now one of the leading full-time Professional Golf Coaches in the South-East. In addition to being Head Professional at The Warren, where he coaches golfers of all abilities, David has several prominent roles within the game, both regionally and nationally.
.jpg) He has been the Essex County Coach for the last eight years, during which time the County Coaching Programme he has developed has come to be recognised as one of the most successful and innovative of its kind in the U.K. Several years of hard development work came to fruition in 2004 when Essex became National Boys County Champions.
David is one of only ten PGA Swing Tutors in the U.K. This responsibility involves working for the P.G.A. National Training Academy at The Belfry, training new Assistant Professionals to teach the golf swing, and how to coach golfers of all abilities. He has recently been awarded the status of Advanced Professional.
.jpg) David actually began his golfing career as an aspiring young Tour Professional, but quickly came to the realisation that his skills were better suited to coaching, and pursued his career in this direction. He trained with one of the leading PGA Professional's in the Midlands, Paul Symonds, and on qualifying moved further south to work for Vivien Saunders. When the opportunity became available to move to The Warren Golf Club to work alongside two of golf's leading professionals, Mickey Walker and Denis Pugh, it was too good an opportunity to miss.
Since arriving at The Warren, David has developed his coaching skills in many directions. He has participated in several national and international coaching conferences and spent time observing many of the game leading Golf Coaches at work first hand, most notably David Leadbetter, Butch Harmon and Hank Haney.
.jpg) In addition to his recognised expertise in swing technique, David has developed his own hugely successful Golf Academy at The Warren that offers a range of coaching services that would be difficult to find anywhere else. David can help you develop all the skills required for high performance golf, whether it be in swing technique, the short game, physical conditioning or mental training.
David works with many elite players, both professional and amateur, and uses his expertise in player development and performance training to accelerate their progress. However David has a client list which includes many club golfers, and he still very much relishes the challenge of helping players of all abilities to improve their skills, and enjoy this great game even more. |
