Have you considered that the way you practise may actually be making you worse?
Do you find practise boring and repetitive?
Would you like to know how to improve your practise methods and get to a stage where you find it as enjoyable as playing the game?
90 % of the practise done by club golfers is at best ineffective. It usually lacks focus and direction, is not pre-planned or assessed after, and often results in a reduction in the confidence level of the golfer. It also rarely takes into account of playing schedule faced.
For example, have you ever found yourself working on your swing technique ten minutes before you tee-off in a medal, trying to find a thought or feeling that works?
Golf is also one of the few games where the coach spends little or no time supervising the practise undertaken by the player. In most other sports the coach will be present through most of the practise session, directing and encouraging.
If you want to find out how to make your practise both enjoyable and effective, then attend a three-hour session on ‘Practise Planning for High Performance Golf’.
David Brooks has a proven track record of training golfers through the groundbreaking golf coaching programmes that he has developed for both the Essex Golf Union and The Sports Academy. Now the techniques that have proven so successful at this level are also available to you through this training session.
During the session you will learn how to plan an effective schedule practise for each component of the game, and experience a range of practise drills and exercises to use within this practise time.
The session includes how to
- Plan your practise schedule for the next week, month or for the complete season.
-
Schedule your practise time to compliment your competition schedule, breaking it down into technical work, skills training and competitive practise
-
Fulfil the requirement for both quantity and quality
- Make your practise fun
