Will your body let you make the golf swing that you want to?

Did you know that improving flexibility could add yards to your golf game?

Imagine if you had a structured programme to work on your fitness in a golf specific way.

One of the greatest changes in the world of professional golf since Tiger Woods arrived on the scene has been the time and effort afforded by the best golfers into getting fit for golf. This period has also seen an explosion in the popularity of Health Clubs, though unfortunately the exercise programmes and equipment used in these gyms that are fine for everyday life, can for golf actually be detrimental.

The golf swing requires flexibility, stability, strength and power. Golf Biomechanics use an understanding of anatomy, kinesiology, biomechanics and functional exercise to design conditioning programmes to correct deficiencies in the body for which the golfer must compensate.

Until now the difficulty for club golfers has been accessing the expert advice on golf specific exercise that is available to Tour Pro’s. And although developing fitness for golf in its own right is very productive, it is most powerful when fully integrated with the technical work done on the golf swing by the golf coach.

David Brooks has teamed with Rob Page, a leading Golf Specific Bio-mechanist, to give club and elite golfers access to best practise when getting fit for golf. They have developed an integrated programme that co-ordinates technical swing coaching with developing physical fitness.

Rob Page trained under Paul Chek of the C.H.E.K. Institute, Encinitas, California and is also qualified in the following areas:

  • Scientific core training
  • Swiss Ball use
  • Nutrition and Lifestyle coaching (corrective health)
  • GP referral rehabilitation
  • Cardiac rehabilitation (BACR)
  • Registered with the register of Exercise Professional (Level 3)
Rob Page is available at GOLF FIT to provide you with this programme of personal fitness coaching that include the key elements of flexibility, stability, strength and power. The programme can be undertaken on it’s own, or can be incorporated and integrated with a golf coaching programme from David Brooks.
