YOUNG MASTERS GOLF CENTRE
An exciting initiative by the David Brooks Golf Academy is aiming to make golf the new sporting passion of the region’s children. The YMG Junior Golf Programme is the first-ever educational syllabus designed to not only introduce boys and girls to the game of golf, but also help them develop the skills and knowledge of the game that will keep them interested and motivated long enough for the golf bug to bite.
There is tremendous interest in playing the game of golf amongst boys and girls, but there has never been a structured programme to keep children involved long enough for them to really start enjoying the game. Now for the first time, an exciting junior golf programme is available to young people which not only makes it easy for them to start playing golf, but also helps them to progress to a level where they can compete with other youngsters, or simply enjoy playing a healthy, relaxing sport for the rest of their lives."
Youngsters joining the YMG Academy at The Warren receive a comprehensive manual, which puts as much emphasis on the rules and etiquette as it does on playing the game, and there are five levels to work through, each comprising an 8-week course of one-hour lessons. The extremely attractive and carefully assembled manual enables youngsters to see what's in store, week-by-week for each of the 5 levels (Cadets, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Masters) and each level is marked by a series of skills and knowledge challenges which the children must complete before they can move on the next level.
To get involved they don’t need to be a member of the golf club, and they don’t even have to own their own golf equipment, as we can provide everything they need to get started on the course.

TURN UP GROUP
This one hour session provides the opportunity for any child to try the game in a fun environment. Our coaches provide tuition on the basics skills of golf mixed with exciting competitions and games. To book a place please call the pro-shop in advance. All golf equipment can be provided (minimum 5 years of age).

JUNIOR GOLF DAYS
During the school holidays our coaches run golf activity days that include a morning of coaching and games on the range, lunch, then a nine hole team competition on our Par 3 course at Bunsay Downs. The day with concludes with a prize presentation that parents can attend.
The day starts at 9.30 a.m. and finishes at 3.00 p.m. and children are supervised throughout by our qualified staff. (minimum 6 years of age)

AFTER SCHOOL COACHING
We work closely with local schools and colleges to organise coaching sessions after school on a group basis. This gives many students the opportunity to experience the game in a golf environment.
TRI-GOLF IN SCHOOLS
We currently work with several local primary schools to provide golf tuition on site using Tri-Golf equipment. Tri-golf is equipment that is designed for safe use indoors and out, and is ideal for giving children their first chance to try the game.
We can deliver either a one-off trial session or a structured programme of Tri-Golf coaching.
Please note: For practical purposes we are unable to consider delivering Tri-Golf sessions outside of a 15-mile radius from The Warren.
